Sonia Teruel is the founder of The RegenLab for Travel. She has a strong background in the travel industry, specialising in community-based tourism through a successful ethical tour operator in Mexico where she has been the General Manager since 2015. She wrote the first ever published thesis about Regenerative Tourism and helped the business and key members of the value chain with their transition towards a regenerative model. Sonia is currently an educator and a consultant, furthering the research and the application of regenerative thinking to tourism, by giving practical support to operators, communities and policymakers. She is also the co-founder of The Hive-Place Regenerators.
