Inside the kitchen at an Ethiopian coffee shop in London where local chefs are preparing traditional dishes for you to try on this tour.

The journey begins with a visit to a local trader, where you’ll try a refreshing juice known for its medicinal qualities. As you walk through the market, you’ll stop at an Ethiopian shop to learn about the importance of coffee in Ethiopian life. You’ll see unroasted beans, the traditional coffee pot, and discover the spices that give Ethiopian cuisine its unique flavours.

The experience concludes with an authentic Ethiopian coffee ceremony — the highlight of the tour. Sharing coffee is a treasured tradition in Ethiopia, a moment for gathering and storytelling. As you sip coffee paired with popcorn, a popular combination, Sefanit will share personal stories of her life and heritage. For her, Ethiopia’s colours, scents, and strong sense of community are still part of who she is, and she finds great joy in sharing this with others.
