Women in Travel CIC is the UK-based, award-winning social enterprise, dedicated to fostering gender inclusion in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry.
We do this by providing employment and enterprising opportunities to underserved, diverse female talent through programmes supported by our industry partners and by reinvesting profits from our commercial services.
Our vision is a world where all women thrive and fully contribute to the economy, communities and society.

We provide:
- Employability and Entrepreneurship services (connecting organisations to our most vulnerable yet talented candidates who undergo training, upskilling and mentoring programmes.
- DEI Leadership, Training and Consulting with Educational Activities.
- Online Events such as Lunch N Learn Online Webinars.
- In-person Events such as International Women in Travel and Tourism Forum & Awards (IWTTF & Awards).
- Mentoring through Male Allyship Network and Mentoring Circles (for individuals and corporations)
- Women-Led Tours by our proud graduates of Tour Guiding Academy.
We are present at trade fairs and industry events in the UK and worldwide and work tirelessly to ensure that women’s contribution to this global industry is fostered, recognised and celebrated!
Founder & MD Alessandra Alonso has been called a ‘trailblazer’ when it comes to gender diversity in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality. She has supported women+ in the sector over the past 20 years and has been featured in numerous trade and business publications, conferences and events dealing with this topic.
